We are all a little under the weather, so we kept our jammies on, put on shoes and a coat and headed outside to see what the Easter Bunny had left. Jace followed the eggs to the Easter baskets.
Jace was so excited, he could hardly wait to use his new color wonder marker set.
Cole was just happy that we let him be outside for 5 minutes!
Jamie and I (and kiddos of course) went to Stephanie's house today to color Easter Eggs. As always good times were had...
Today Jace got to go to a Pirate Party at the Library. He was so excited and it did not disappoint, it was fabulous!
First they read a pirate book while all of the kids were still coming. Then they divided the kids into 3 groups and rotated them through 3 stations. Jace first got to make a pirate hat. He loved making it and wearing it!

Then while the kids waited to rotate stations they got to play with the parachute.

At the second station they read another cute storybook about being a pirate in your own bathtub. Then they played, "Pirate, Pirate, what do you see?" Jace got to pull an item out of the treasure box, and he picked the parrot. So, "Pirate, Pirate, what do you see? I see a parrot looking at me."
At the final station he got a pirate snack(strawberries, bananas, a cookie and apple juice), a little toy pirate and a pirate tattoo. We also got to take cute pirate pictures.
My little pirate. It felt kind of like a Mommy/Son date because I was able to leave Cole home(who is really sick with another double ear infection.) I loved being able to spoil Jace with all of my attention. He is such a cute, fun, good boy, and I just love this stage that he is in! Thanks again Lehi Library, it was fantabulous!
Today my sisters and I took the kids to an Easter Egg Hunt at the Lehi Legacy Center. It wasn't a traditional egg hunt however, the kids had to earn their eggs/prizes. There were a bunch of games set up and after playing each game they got their egg/prize. It turned out pretty good and the kids had a great time and definitely made out with way more than the $2 admission we paid.

You were suppose to only play each game once and Jace and I were really bummed because he didn't win a cupcake on the cupcake walk. Only the winner got one (which happened to be his cousin Dallin) and everyone else got a plastic egg with something in it. Towards the end however, they were trying to get rid of all the cupcakes and let the kids keep playing until they were gone. Jace won one right away and he was so excited(so was I, I was starving!)
Even Cole looks excited for the cupcake. Of course we shared with him too!

Our neighbor's the Spangler's invited us over tonight to make smore's after dinner. The weather was perfect with a light breeze.

Today Jamie and I took the kids to see Gnomeo and Juliet. It kept the kids entertained the whole time, so it was a success! I thought that it was cute too.

Jace's cousin's were over today, and Nani let them all water paint.
Jace is a very active boy and never sits still, but he will for water painting! Maybe we have a little artist on our hands!
Today we went to Avery's 4th Birthday Party! All of my family was there except for Shawn and Jennifer and her family.

Even the kids ate most of their food, which doesn't happen very often because they are usually too busy playing.
(Mostly) everyone hanging out with full tummies... She got some great presents and was "glowing" the whole day! Happy Birthday Avery Kate!
Stephanie and I(and the kiddos) headed over to Jamie's house today to make Avery's birthday cake for tomorrow. Jamie decided to teach Stephanie and I how to make and decorate a fondant cake. Here Stephanie is working some fondant. It is also her birthday today, Happy Birthday Stephanie!
Jamie and her mad skills hard at work... it really is a lot more work than I thought! I now have a new appreciation for beautiful cakes.

Tonight Cole discovered a pacifier while we were eating at Texas Roadhouse. He wouldn't really take one as a baby, but tonight he sure was lovin' it.
I think he really enjoyed chewing on it since more teeth are coming in.
Silly, Happy Cole! Jace slept the whole time we were there which was nice.
Today Jace got to do the Limbo at Story Time. He loved it, and mommy and Cole loved watching him.
