Yellowstone Day 2...Firehole Canyon, Midway Geyser Basin, and Old Faithful...

The first buffalo of the trip that we saw!

First we headed through Firehole Canyon to see the Firehole Falls and River. So, so beautiful! The kids took a nice nap too!

My hubby and I with the falls.

The boys woke up right when we were going to leave the falls, so we let them get out for a minute and see.

Then we headed to Midway Geyse Basin. Lots and lots of stinky water and steam, bacteria mats, etc. It was really cool though!

Me with the kiddos!

Then we headed to Old Faithful. We had over an hour until it was going to go off next, so we went on a really long hike.

Of course Jace brought Batman along!

More stinky water and steam! Love this picture of my boys!

Everyone waiting for Old Faithful to go off.

Still waiting...

There we go! It was awesome. Shoots water 100 feet in the air!

Then there was this crazy buffalo that came down right when Old Faithful was done with her show. It was rolling around like crazy in the dirt...
...and then it would shake his whole body to get the dirt off of him.
Well, Jace thought that it was cool, and started running up to him and everyone freaked out! Don't worry, I came to the rescue! I do have to admit that it got my heart pounding!
Then the buffalo stormed off, and we stormed home to get some yummy dinner! Can't wait for another day like today in the wild!
